FAQ

Q: Is the battery rechargeable?
A: YES, the battery is rechargeable via 5V2A power adapter or solar panel.

Q: Can it record 24/7?
A: No. This is a battery powered camera, to get the battery lasting as long as possible, the camera will record only when live view or motion detected. It will in standby mode in the other times. Except battery cameras, all of our other IP cameras support 24/7 recording.

Q: Is there power adapter in the accessory?
A: No. But it comes with the USB cable which is good for universal 5V 2A power adapter.

Q: Can it work during power charge?
A: Yes. You don’t need to take the camera off the magnetic base if there is an outlet nearby. You can charge it using 5V2A power adapter or solar panel to keep it non-stop working.

Q: How long does the battery last when in full charge?
A: Standby Mode: 180 days. Work Mode: 840 min with PIR sensor triggered, remote view and remote playback. Batteries life depends on configurations, battery models, and many other factors. It will drain out quickly with frequent live view and frequent motion detection.

Q: How to position your Battery Cam for maximum effectiveness?
A: Firstly, Find the battery cam's optimal motion zone. The optimal motion zone is right in the middle of your battery cam's field of view.
Then, Aim your battery cam so that the optimal motion zone overlays the perimeter of your property or the area where you first want to be alerted about motion. For example, a visitor comes through the fence into your yard.
Finally, the battery cam works great at about nine feet above ground level with the motion sensor parallel to the ground.

Important Notes for Reducing False Alarms

To reduce false alarms, please note that:
• Do not install the camera facing any objects with bright lights, including sunshine, bright lamp lights, etc.
• Do not place the camera too close to a place where there are frequently moving vehicles. Based on our numerous tests, the recommended distance between the camera and the vehicle is 15 meters (50ft).
• Stay away from the outlets, including the air conditioner vents, humidifier outlets, the heat transfer vents of projectors, etc.
• Do not install the camera where there are strong winds.
• Do not install the camera facing the mirror.
• Keep the camera at least 1 meter away from any wireless devices, including Wi-Fi routers and phones in order to avoid wireless interference
